The Wilson Lot

As a working Mam (most of us are), I understand how important it is to treasure my moments with Ian and Jacob as a family.  Luckily, we are fortunate in that I don't work on a Friday.  This was a decision based on childcare and although we sometimes find it difficult to bridge the gap where I am losing out financially, I wouldn't change this for the world. My Fridays with Jacob, along with the rest of the weekend, is my precious quality time with my son.  We play with his toys, we take little walks, we dance and sing, scribble with crayons, read books and have lots of cuddles.  I don't want him to grow up too quickly, but I can't wait to play board games with him, draw proper pictures, teach him how to read and write amongst other things and help him find a thirst for always wanting to learn more. My boys and I recently went to Eyemouth on holiday.  Randomly, Ian decided this year that we should look at collecting the tokens in the Sun for the £9.50 holiday offer.  Obviously, the price doesn't stay at £9.50, but nevertheless, we made five choices, Eyemouth being number one (mainly for the location and the travel time).  To be fair, we didn't expect much;  all we wanted was a few days away from normality - to forget about bills and the dull routine of working, eating and sleeping. When we woke up on Monday morning and the sun was blazing through the windows, never for one second did I think that it would last all week.  It would be a bit naive to be hopeful - we're British - in my 27 years I don't think I've ever been able to count on the weather and I'm not that happy-go-lucky.  It rained on our wedding day and when I had Jacob, we were snowed-in whilst in hospital. If you have never been to Eyemouth, it is definitely worth a visit....
